American soprano Susanna Barasch is a sought-after recitalist and interpreter of opera, art song, and concert repertoire with performances spanning the United States and internationally. Her 2026–2027 recital tour takes her across the east coast, including Merkin Hall (NYC), the Otis Center (Savannah), Thomas Center (Gainesville), the CoRK (Jacksonville), and internationally to Mexico and the Bahamas.
Her recent tours to sold-out performances show her growing presence as a concert artist, presenting programs that move fluidly between Italian song, French mélodie, German lieder, American repertoire, and beloved operatic works.
Praised for her lyric warmth, musical intelligence, and bel canto-inspired approach to a variety of genres, Barasch is especially drawn to repertoire that combines vocal beauty with emotional directness. Her work is shaped by the influence of her mentors Joan Patenaude-Yarnell, Virginia Zeani, and Tzvetan Konstantinov, and by a lifelong commitment to the expressive possibilities of the classical voice.
Beyond the stage, Barasch is a creator, educator, and cultural advocate. She founded Hello Figaro, an arts and culture podcast, and M Institute for the Arts, formerly a major community music school in Washington, DC and now an online-only resource for music education. Her pandemic-era New Era Voice Festival brought together internationally recognized artists and emerging singers in one of the notable online classical voice initiatives of the time.
Barasch holds a BA in Music from The George Washington University and teaches privately in New York City, Northern Florida, and online.
