Favorite Videos on Breathing and Posture

So much of singing is having proper body alignment. Without proper alignment, breath cannot flow effortlessly and tension pulls on the voice. Your posture is only as good as your breathing habits and your breath is only as good as your body alignment.

Say "No" to Belly Breathing

I've had it out for "belly breathing" for years. I hear it in almost every single exercise class, especially yoga. Only breathing into your belly is not beneficial to the body or the breath. The belly can come out on the breath. However, this should only be side effect of a correct breath, like you will see in this video:

Fix Your Head Posture by Breathing

You need good head posture to release the throat, jaw, and tongue to sing. If your neck juts forward, as almost everyone's does these days with all the scrolling we do on the phone, you may enjoy this video:
